The Home of Warwick Student History

About Us
We are a group of students at the University of Warwick passionate about making history accessible through storytelling — and about creating meaningful opportunities for people to engage with the past in their own way. Through Rewind, we bring fresh perspectives to history by sharing articles, interviews, films, and more. But we also want to go further: supporting others in creating, experimenting, and sharing their own historical work and research.

Our aim is simple: to make history engaging, relevant, and accessible. We believe that history isn’t just something to study — it’s something to explore, question, and enjoy together. At its core, history is something we can all share in, which is why we’re committed above all to providing opportunities for anyone to create and share their passion for the past. Whether you’re a history enthusiast or simply curious, Rewind invites you to join us in discovering the stories that shape our world — and in developing your own ways of exploring history.

We upload all our articles and content, along with event updates, on our main Instagram: @rewindwarwick. For regular updates on our projects and initiatives, be sure to follow @rewindprojects!
Rewind began with a simple conviction: history belongs to everyone.

I founded Rewind because there was nowhere on campus to engage with the past outside of lectures and essays — no space for people to write, film, design, or just explore history on their own terms.

What grew from that is something I'm genuinely proud of: a community of students coming together of their own initiative. Writers, filmmakers, designers, researchers — making history accessible without making it shallow. Rigorous, but never exclusive.
Each new team inherits not just a platform, but a responsibility: to develop it, question it, and make it their own.

History is for everyone. That is what makes Rewind worth something. That is what makes it worth fighting for.
